El poder predictivo de las experiencias adversas en la infancia para estimar las conductas suicidas en jóvenes universitarios en Ecuador

Resumen
El suicidio es una problemática global significativa que posee una gama de factores diversos que pueden contribuir a su ocurrencia. Este estudio investigó si las  experiencias adversas en la infancia (EAIs) predicen comportamientos suicidas en jóvenes de 18 a 25 años, de  la Universidad Tecnológica de Machala (UTMACH), en Ecuador. Los resultados indican que la negligencia emocional, el abuso sexual y psicológico son factores significativos en la predicción de conductas suicidas.

Abstract  
Suicide is a significant global problem that has a range of diverse factors that can contribute to its occurrence. This study investigated whether adverse childhood experiences (AEIs) predict suicidal behaviors in young people aged 18 to 25 years, from the Technological University of Machala (UTMACH), in Ecuador. The results indicate that emotional neglect, sexual and psychological abuse are significant predictors suicidal behavior.
